The Museum of London is introducing a new digital platform in 2024, with the institution saying the move will “revolutionise” its online offerings.

Developed with the support of Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Digital Accelerator for Arts and Culture, the platform will be designed with a “stories-first” approach.

To include 5,000 newly public oral histories from around London, the stories are part of a project designed to better allow access to digital collections for both academics and the general public.

The platform will also allow visitors to customise and personalise their journeys around the museum, which will reopen at its new home in 2026 under a new name - The London Museum.
