Manchester’s Science and Industry Museum has announced a new partnership with the Landmark Trust, which will see one of the UK city’s oldest surviving Georgian properties transformed into a heritage holiday home.
Dating back to 1808, the Grade I-listed building, known as the Station Agent’s House, sits adjacent to the museum and was previously used as accommodation for Liverpool Road Station’s station agent.
The partnership will see the property undergo a series of repairs before reopening to offer overnight stays for up to eight people, as well as free public open days. Once complete, the property will become the Landmark Trust’s first in the region and will join its 200-strong collection of historic buildings.
