The Louisville Slugger Factory & Museum in Kentucky, US, has undergone a series of improvement works to transform its visitor experience.

The Louisville Slugger Factory & Museum in Kentucky, US, has undergone a series of improvement works to transform its visitor experience.

The redesign, helmed by JRA - part of RWS Entertainment Group, included the expansion of the Bat Vault, a permanent exhibition showcasing baseball bats throughout history. At 638sq ft (59.2sq m), the Bat Vault is now twice its original size and home to more than 3,000 bats, some of which are more than 100 years old. In addition, the experience, previously a VIP ticketed exhibition, is now included in the museum’s general admission price.

Other improvements include a new 200sq ft (18.5sq m) temporary exhibit space, as well as renovated museum gallery, which is home to the museum’s ‘Hold a Piece of History’ exhibition, where visitors can interact with game-used bats as well as take photos with sculptures of iconic players such as Babe Ruth, Derek Jeter, Ken Griffey Jr. and Jackie Robinson.

“The museum is all about creating unforgettable experiences and these renovations will undoubtedly add to the one-of-a-kind experience we offer,” said Deana Lockman, executive director of the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory.
