IAAPA has partnered with Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority (GEA) to launch a new trade summit dedicated to the region.
Taking place at the JW Marriott Hotel Riyadh between March 7 - 8, the IAAPA Middle East Trade Summit will feature an extensive conference programme covering topics such as the future workforce for the entertainment industry, planned developments in Saudi Arabia, supply chain demands and customer service.
Speakers include major industry players, such as Amanda Thompson OBE; CEO of Blackpool Pleasure Beach; Jim Pattison Jr; president of Ripley’s Entertainment, Emma Jane Forrest; training manager at Atlantis Resorts, Eric Cosset; director of park operations, product integration and development at Disneyland Paris, and Mohamed Attial, general manager entertainment at Al Hokair Group.
The event will also include a number of networking opportunities and several EduTours, including visits to Boulevard Riyadh City – a 900,000sq m (9.6m sq ft) entertainment zone – and Boulevard World – a recently-opened world showcase attraction, offering 15 zones of rides and entertainment options.
“The Middle East is an important region and IAAPA is Looking to build more relationships there while growing our memberships,” said Peter van der Schans, VP and executive director of IAAPA EMEA.
“Saudi Arabia is in the midst of a boom in the attractions industry, and we are ready to support leaders there in achieving their goals.”
Registration for the IAAPA Middle East Trade Summit is now open, with tickets starting from €699 (US$748, £620) for members and €999 (US$1,069, £887) for non-members.
