IAAPA Expo Europe 2023: Jora Vision, Vekoma unveil €20m Emerald Park additions



Jora Vision and Vekoma have unveiled new details on Tír na nÓg - a new €20m addition coming to Ireland's Emerald park.


Construction of the new land started at the beginning of August 2022. However, Emerald Park has been planning these new rides since 2017, with founder Ray Coyle the driving force behind the project.

Vekoma, JoraVision, Universal Rocks and Zierer are supplying the attraction, which represents a substantial investment for the park and covers 6.5 acres.

The first track is a suspended thrill coaster featuring a 360 Zero-G Roll and an Upward Helix among five upside down experiences on the ride. With a total track length of 750m and a highest tmpoint of 32m, the ride will reach speeds of up to 90kmph.

The second coaster is a Family Boomerang, and offers a more family friendly riding experience. It includes forward and backward runs on the track and through the station, with airtime hills, dives and turns The track is 450m length, with a highest track point of 25m. It will reach speeds of up to 60kmph.

Along with the two main rollercoasters, Tír na nÓg will also introduce a third classic theme park attraction, known as a Waveswinger, as well as new food outlets and retail spaces.
