Hundreds of guests were suddenly evacuated from The Land pavilion at Disney World’s Epcot in Orlando, Florida, US, yesterday (July 24).
According to several social media posts, guests were not made aware of the reason for the evacuation but were urgently rushed out of the pavilion’s emergency exits by cast members. However, no injuries have been reported.
Occupying 253,780sq ft (24,000sq m) The Land is a large indoor pavilion offering several attractions such as Soarin’ Around the World and Living with the Land, as well as a number of dining venues including the Garden Grill restaurant and the Sunshine Season food court. It also acts as an indoor hub where guests can take a break from the sun.
The evacuation is likely to have disrupted operations across the entire pavilion.
