Guardians of the Galaxy takes shape at Epcot

Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley has offered a sneak peek at Epcot’s upcoming attraction - Guardian’s of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind - sharing new images of the Nova Crops Starblaster ship currently being installed at the park.

“Over the coming weeks, we’ll be assembling the 51-foot-tall ship, adding finishing details and tying in the landing pad area that surrounds the ship,” said Riddley posting on Instagram.

Cosmic Rewind is part of a major transformation of Epcot aiming to enhance its appeal to visitors. Not only will the ride be the world’s first Guardians of the Galaxy-themed rollercoaster, but it will also be one of the world’s longest indoor coasters, with ride vehicles that rotate 360 degrees and have a reverse launch.

Set to open in 2022, the ride has been designed by Benjamin Bloemendaal and is manufactured by Vekoma.
