A Wild West theme park has been severely damaged by fire, with two people injured and millions in damage caused by the blaze.
Pullman City, which is located in Passau close to the Austrian border and opened in 1997, promotes itself as a “living Wild West Town”, entertaining both young and old alike.
The park caught fire at around 6am on Sunday (January 21) with employees failing to put the blaze out with a fire extinguisher before it spread. Around 200 people, including 180 overnight guests, were evacuated from the park.
The buildings caught in the blaze only make up a small portion of Pullman City, but are essential facilities, providing services such as catering.
Pullman City’s director, Claus Six, told dpa that the park would have to remain closed until “at least March”, and that he hopes to rebuild as much as possible following the devastating inferno.
