Ride manufacturer Extreme Engineering has announced the installation of an indoor suspended rollercoaster for the Wilderness at the Smokies - the region’s largest waterpark resort and family entertainment centre - in Tennessee, US.
Called Cloud Coaster, the new attraction is designed to interact with other attractions throughout the site’s Forest Family Adventure Park, travelling above various attractions, such as a themed mini-golf course, laser tag and a ropes course.
“This is one of the most unique and exciting coaster layouts designed to date,” said Phil Wilson, executive vice president at Extreme Engineering.
“To have the opportunity to soar through different rooms of a park and interact with other exciting attractions is a dream come true.”
The indoor suspended coaster will be suspended from the ceiling and will have a track length of approximately 400ft (122m), with two lift hills. Cloud Coaster is the first of its kind to come to Tennessee.
