The Disney World resort in Orlando, Florida, US, has updated its Genie + ride reservation system so that guests can choose to use it on a single-park basis.
First unveiled in 2019, the ride reservation system previously only operated on a multi-park basis so guests who bought the service could book Lighting Lanes across all four of the resorts’ theme parks. However, the service didn’t provide much value for guests without park hopper tickets.
Now, however, guests will be able to purchase Genie + just for the park they’re visiting as the platform now offers both single- and multi-park options.
“Guests at Walt Disney World Resort can now purchase Disney Genie+ services based on how they want to visit,” said a Disney statement.
“Guests will be able to select either a single-park option or a multiple-parks option, subject to availability. With this update, prices may be lower at some Disney World theme parks compared to others.”
Genie + is available through the My Disney Experience app.
Currently, no changes have been announced for the Genie + system at the Disneyland Resort in California.
