Denmark says people ‘need to chill’ in new tourism campaign

Denmark is encouraging the world to ‘chill’ with a new campaign encouraging would-be tourists to find their ‘Danish Zen’.

Playing on the fact that 47% of Danish people have names such as ‘Han-sen’ or ‘Erik-sen’, Denmark has so much ‘Zen’ to give that it could be the reason the destination is ranked among the least stressful and happiest places to live in the world, according to the advert.

“When you see the world with slightly different eyes you open yourself up to experiences you might otherwise overlook. That's the spirit of the Danish Zen.” said Jeppe Hansen, senior art director at &Co, the agency that developed the initiative.

“But most importantly, our zen is a way of being together, and there is no better way to experience it than with us Danes. Therefore, we want to invite everyone to visit Denmark and explore the Danish Zen.”
