The Giant Company, an Ireland-based visitor attractions specialist has launched The Giant, its flagship visitor attraction concept, into the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region at the Dubai Entertainment, Amusement & Leisure (DEAL) trade show in Dubai.

Described as “the visitor attraction for the 21st Century”, The Giant is a 10-storey anthropomorphic moving statue – one of the world’s tallest – covered in addressable LEDs, that serves as both a viewing tower and state-of-the-art exhibition.

Soon to be unveiled in cities around the world, The Giant Company is currently in talks for sites in New York, Chicago, Miami and Las Vegas in the US and Naples in Italy.

“The Giant integrates the fun and engagement of a family entertainment centre, the artistic and educational features of a world-class museum and the rewarding sense of personal discovery of an inspiring motivational experience,” the company said.

The Giant Company has also collaborated with DEAL and design partner Kraftwerk Living Technologies to present its Giant Head concept at the show. Standing 4 m (13 ft) tall, the Giant Head statue was developed as a prototype for The Giant and features its patented content management system that scans visitors’ faces and instantly displays them on the Giant Head.

The company is also showcasing two new features: instant video mapping and real-time audio, which allows visitors to be filmed and projected onto the Giant Head, while real-time audio capture enables the visitor to speak or sing as the Giant Head.

DEAL is currently underway at the Dubai World Trade Centre and closes today (March 30)
