Shanghai Disneyland has been temporarily shut down once again thanks to Covid-19 protocols in China.
China’s famously strict protocols against the disease saw the resort entirely shut down for three months earlier this year with the park reopening in June. Following a positive Covid-19 test on October 31, the park was forced to close again. Reopening less than a fortnight ago, the park finds its doors closed to the public for the third time this year.
“In order to follow the requirement of pandemic prevention and control, Shanghai Disneyland will be temporarily closed starting Tuesday, November 29, 2022,” said a statement. “We will notify guests as soon as we have a confirmed date to resume operations.”
For the time being, Disneytown, Wishing Star Park, and the two resort hotels will continue normal operations.
