A council has shot down speculation a Disneyland could soon be constructed in Australia.
Werribee, situated 30 minutes west of Melbourne’s CBD, was rumoured to become the location of the first Down Under Disney theme park but a council spokesman has now poured cold water on those rumours.
“Wyndham City has not been approached by any organisation in relation to plans for a Disney-style park in our municipality,” the spokesman told the Herald Sun.
The Victorian city is home to the Werribee Open Range Zoo and Werribee Mansion, with many saying Disneyland would be a great new addition to the tourist hotspot.
