Visitors to the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, UK, are being given a special opportunity to ride in one of the most iconic cars in TV and film history, with a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang reconstruction built using authentic parts from one of the iconic film’s Chittys.
Driving around the attraction’s grounds for all to see, visitors are being offered the chance to book their own ride and take a seat in the ‘fine-four-fendered-friend’ during school holidays and weekends until October.
Starring Dick Van Dyke along an all-star cast, the 1968 British film was co-written by Roald Dahl and Ken Hughes. The film sees an old Grand Prix car transformed into a magical flying vehicle that teleports inventor Caractacus Potts and his family to a kingdom ruled by the evil Baron Bomburst.
