The Chimelong Spaceship Hotel at the Chimelong International Ocean Resort in Zhuhai, China, has opened to the public.
The themed hotel, which forms part of a major expansion at the resort, opened its doors in July and is connected to Chimelong Spaceship, the park’s upcoming ocean-themed indoor theme park, masterminded by Legacy Entertainment.
The hotel offers a total of 1,250 rooms, spread across 26 floors, and six different room types, including spaceship- and moon exploration-themed rooms. Its facilities include several restaurants and dining venues, conference rooms, retail stores and swimming pools.
The hotel lobby is themed around a fantasy water world and combines lighting, music, 3D set pieces, including a submarine, and LED scenes to immerse guests in a “dreamy” seascape.
To celebrate the launch, the hotel planned a series of summertime activities including nighttime storytelling sessions and education sessions covering topics such as coral and marine protection.
