A new jack-o’-lantern trail is to launch at New York’s Bronx Zoo this autumn.

Called Pumpkin Nights, the nighttime event will feature a half-mile trail boasting more than 5,000 illuminated pumpkins, intricately carved to look like animals.

Additionally, the trail will feature pumpkin scenes and sculptures, as well as atmospheric lighting and a soundscape.

It will also include food trucks, offering seasonal treats, as well as photo opportunities and activities such as live pumpkin carving and outdoor games.

Pumpkin Nights will take place on select evenings from September 28 to October 29 and will run alongside the zoo’s annual Boo at the Zoo event.
