Britain’s new Prime Minister, Liz Truss, has named Michelle Donelan as culture secretary.
In her new role, Donelan will head up the Department for Digital, Media, Culture and Sport (DCMS), replacing Nadine Dorries, who - according to reports - was offered the chance to say in the role but declined.
Donelan is the eleventh culture secretary to be appointed in the last 11 years and is the first under Truss’ new government. She is formerly a marketing manager for WWE and was Boris Johnson’s Education Secretary for just 48 hours before a mass wave of resignations, including her own, from the British government.
