With an aim to become carbon neutral by 2027, Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, UK, has announced that it’s launching a series of major new money-saving incentives for visitors arriving using sustainable transport.
For customers booking a visit online, they will receive a 30% discount on tickets if they can prove that they will either arrive via public transport, by bike or in a fully electric vehicle.
Starting tomorrow (April 9), Blenheim Palace will also launch a free weekend shuttle bus service to make it more convenient for visitors to arrive by train. The free return shuttle buses will depart every 30 minutes from Hanborough Station and will operate from 9.10 am to 5.40 pm on Saturdays and Sundays to coincide with Great Western Railway train arrivals and departures.
The heritage attraction will also be working with the Oxford Bus Company, whose bus fleet consists of around 120 vehicles and is the lowest emission bus fleet of its size in the UK.
The RAC has also announced that on May 7-8, it will partner with Blenheim Palace for an electric car showcase, where it will talk to visitors about its EV leasing service.
