All of Florida’s major theme parks have shut with the arrival of Hurricane Milton in the state.
Alongside Disney World, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Universal Studios Orlando, SeaWorld Orlando and Legoland Florida are closed, as well as other attractions including Kennedy Space Center, and Florida’s state parks,
Hurricane Milton, which has been downgraded to a category three storm on its approach to Florida, has been described as “deadly and catastrophic” by officials.
Millions have fled the US state, with tornado and storm surge warnings already in place for Florida. The hurricane’s arrival comes two weeks after Hurricane Helene hit the Gulf Coast as a category-four storm, killing at least 225 people across Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and North Carolina.
