Italian ride manufacturer Zamperla has opened two new rides at the Adventureland theme park in Des Moines, US.
The new additions, Draken Falls and Flying Viking, form part of the largest investment in the park’s history.
Draken Falls is a Super Flumez water ride that combines a traditional log flume experience with the splash of a shoot-the-chutes ride, while Flying Viking is a family fun junior coaster.
“These are classic concepts, but we innovated and created significant modern updates for both attractions,” said Zamperla CEO Antonio Zamperla.
“The Super Flumez has a unique hull attachment method with no bolts penetrating the structure, which reduces total cost of ownership. The Junior Coaster motors use the minimum amount of energy required and we are utilizing a new fibreglass attachment method that minimises vibration.”
