A world-first Zog-themed playland is coming to Warwick Castle, with the outdoor experience allowing children to immerse themselves in the IP through interactive play when it opens on April 9.

Inspired by the books written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler, Zog Playland has been developed alongside Magic Light Pictures and combines both sensory and physical play with accessible activities.

Targeted at children up to the age of 10, elements of the attraction will include a winged zip rope, the turrets of Princess Pearl’s Tower, an adventure crawl tunnel, dragon slides and swings, an interactive sand play area and themed roleplay market stalls.

The playland will also be accompanied by the returning Zog Quest for the Golden Star - an activity trail that “teaches all budding dragons-in-training the skills they need to become a fully-fledged dragon”.

“Warwick Castle feels like the perfect setting for Zog, Princess Pearl and Sir Gadabout,” said Alex Sanson, brand manager at Magic Light Pictures.

“Rolling grounds for him to run about in, turrets for him to soar between, not to mention all the creatures that Princess Pearl’s assistants will be able to heal – we can’t wait for families to explore the new Playland and be fully immersed in Zog’s Realm.”
