Voting is soon set to close on this year’s UK Theme Park Awards, with the public vote set to conclude on September 2.
Entering its fourth year, the UK Theme Park Awards represent the leading public facing awards for the UK theme park industry, recognising the best rides and attractions, shows and events, as well as the theme parks offering the best customer service and value.
Featuring 22 voting categories, a shortlist of finalists was compiled using public nominations and whittled down by an expert panel of judges including Planet Attractions’ Editor-in-Chief, Tom Anstey. In total 25,278 nominations were received, with a total of 35 theme parks nominated for awards in 2023.
In addition to major contendenders such as Alton Towers and Drayton Manor, a number of other parks have also received multiple nominations across a number of categories, including Adventure Island in Essex, Blackgang Chine on the Isle of Wight, Crealy in Devon, Fantasy Island in Lincolnshire and Flamingo Land in Yorkshire.
The awards also feature a category for Content Creator of the Year, which recognises user-generated content via blogs and platforms such as YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. Nominees include the likes of ParkSpill, TheJackSilkstone and Digital Dan.
Members can now cast their votes until Saturday. These votes will be combined with the judging panel to generate the final results, which will be announced at this year’s awards event on 21 September, hosted at Chessington World of Adventures Resort.
