A major waterpark in Vietnam has reopened following an expansion, with Polin supplying the attraction’s interactive waterslides and rides.
Called Tropical Paradise, the expanded waterpark covers an area of 59,000sq m (635,000sq ft) with a selection of 39 waterslides, a wave pool, a lazy pool, and many other water-themed activities.
A customised version of Polin's award-winning King Cobra waterslide is among the park’s signature attractions, which include a new Splash Course attraction for guests of all ages and an Aquatube waterslide. For younger guests, a new water play structure features tipping buckets, slides, net climbs, and water cannons.
First opened in 2006, Tropical Paradise was originally designed by Polin, with the waterpark giant supplying its attractions. It closed its doors during the global pandemic, using the downtime to undergo the major expansion, with the supplier again providing the attractions ahead of its grand reopening on June 8.
Tropical Paradise forms part of the VinWonders Nha Trang Amusement Park, formerly Vinpearl Land Nha Trang. Covering more than 50 hectares, the wider attraction is part of the Vinpearl integrated resort complex on the Hon Tre Island tourist destination and is the only seaside theme park currently in operation in Vietnam.
“VinWonders is the biggest theme park chain in Vietnam,” said Kubilay Alpdogan, general manager of Polin. “We take great pride in the fact that the park chose us as a partner for their recent expansions.”
