A new addition to Universal Studios Singapore slated to open in 2024 has broken ground, with work starting on the park's upcoming Minion Land.
As one of the key components of Resorts World Sentosa’s (RWS) expansion plan RWS 2.0, Minion Land will strengthen Universal Studios Singapore’s offerings and is anticipated to be a popular draw for both local visitors and overseas tourists.
The new land will feature multiple rides and attractions, including a world-first original ride exclusive to Singapore, as well as Despicable Me Minion Mayhem - the popular 3D motion simulator ride featured at several Universal parks worldwide. The land will also feature themed Minions shops, restaurants and amenities.
The Minions joined the building team at the ceremony, performing some dance numbers in front of more than 120 guests from Singapore’s tourism sector, including the minister of State for Trade & Industry, and Culture, Community and Youth, Alvin Tan.
