Universal Studios Japan has announced an addition to its Super Nintendo World, with Donkey Kong Country coming to the park in spring 2024.
First opened in March 2021, Super Nintendo World has proved a major success, with the Donkey Kong addition representing the land’s first major expansion.
A mine cart ride will be the main attraction of the new land, with the rollercoaster going around a jungle temple and based on the Donkey Kong Country Returns game.
Additional features of the attraction include Power-Up Band activities, with players collecting the K O N G letters to gain an extra life. A new selection of merchandise will also feature.
The expansion significantly increases Super Nintendo World in size, with the completed attraction 1.7 times its original size.
