The UK Theme Park Awards has revealed its judging panel for this year’s awards, ahead of its sixth annual celebration of the UK attractions industry this September.

Organised by consumer theme park guide ThemeParks-UK.com and presented in partnership with AttractionsTickets.com, the awards recognise industry excellence across 22 categories, including ‘Theme Park of the Year’, ‘Best Value’ and ‘Best Customer Service.’

New for 2025 are categories such as ‘Best Use of IP in an Attraction’, ‘Best Queue Line Experience or Pre-Show’, and ‘Best Integration of Technology in a Guest Experience’.

The awards will also recognise digital creators, with prizes for both ‘Best Established Content Creator’ and ‘Best Developing Content Creator.’

Winners will be determined through a combination of public votes and judges’ scoring.

This year’s judging panel comprises nine industry experts, representing a wide cross-section of the UK attractions sector. Judges include:

  • Lawrence Roots, founder of ThemeParks-UK.com

  • Dawn Foote, co-founder and CEO of Katapult

  • Mark Locker, founder and CEO of Attractions.io

  • Paul Kelly, chief executive of the British Association of Leisure Parks, Piers and Attractions (BALPPA)

  • Lauren Heath-Jones, editorial director of Planet Attractions

  • Andy Hine MBE, chairman of the Roller Coaster Club of Great Britain

  • Scott Bickerton, founder of Your Experience Guide

  • Chris Belivin-Bailey, founder of Attraction Source

  • John Fosbrook, publisher of InterPark

  • Commenting on her involvement, Heath-Jones said: “I’m thrilled to be part of the judging panel for the 2025 UK Theme Park Awards. There have been a lot of exciting developments in the UK attractions industry over the past 12 months, and I’m delighted to play a small part in their recognition.”

Roots added: “It will be the sixth year that we celebrate all of the biggest achievements at theme parks around the UK. I’m delighted that we’ll be able to bring together so many representatives from theme parks with other industry professionals and content creators.”

Public voting for the 2025 awards opens on July 21 and will close on September 1, with winners announced later that month.
