It might be a year to forget for everyone living through it, but The Smithsonian Museum doesn’t want 2020 to be forgotten as it gears up for a day of virtual programming that will tell the stories of people who lived through this year.
Starting at 10am EST on December 11, the museum will feature an event called 24 Hours in a time of Change, which aims to show the turmoil and struggles that 2020 has brought to the American people.
The programme will tell stories of COVID-19, explaining how vaccines have made an impact on the world. It will also cover the social issues that have affected people this year, including stories such as “Knowing Our Past, Creating Our Future: D.C'.s History of Black Power and Neighborhood Organising.”
