Spree Interactive will be getting into the Christmas spirit early at this year’s IAAPA Expo in Orlando, Florida, with the launch of a new family-friendly VR game ‘Christmas Crunch’.

Targetted at children aged six and up, the game allows families to play as elves in Santa’s workshop as they work together to prepare last-minute Christmas tree orders that need to be launched into the sky. In the VR experience, players must quickly decorate trees by collecting ornaments and loading them into cannons, also being careful not to drop any on the way.

“Christmas Crunch enables venues to widen their audiences as families look to create new memories and experiences for the holiday,” said a Spree release.

“This seasonal addition compliments Spree’s existing range of non-violent family-friendly games and provides a Christmas magnet that enables FECs to differentiate themselves.”

Based in Nuremberg, Germany, virtual reality specialist Spree specialises in the development of turnkey, large-scale products that are active, social and fun. Included in its product portfolio, the company offers a family-friendly subscription package to attractions with two new titles guaranteed each year.

Planet Attractions recently spoke to CEO and company co-founder, Jonathan Nowak Delgado, at this year’s IAAPA Expo Europe, learning more about the company, its foundations, the technology and more.
