Simworx will debut its brand-new flying theatre concept at this year’s IAAPA Expo.

Called Pegasus, the new attraction has been described as an affordable and scaleable solution that offers a thrilling immersive guest experience.

Aimed at smaller venues, the ride features dynamic seating with guests seated against the front restraint in a motorbike position with their legs on either side. This kind of seating is designed to immerse guests in the on-screen action and can accommodate several storylines, such as rockets and flying animals.

Being showcased alongside Pegasus is Simworx’ new Overdrive concept. Developed in partnership with experiential design firm Katapult, Overdrive delivers an adrenaline-fueled duelling experience in the form of a high-octane car chase with guests role-playing as cops and robbers.

The concept was designed around the company’s AGV Dark Ride and was inspired by IPs such as Fast and Furious, Need for Speed and Grand Theft Auto.

Simworx unveiled Overdrive at IAAPA Expo Europe in September, offering visitors a close-up look at the technology, with a functioning, themed AGV unit on the stand.

Commenting on the new launches, Simworx CEO Terry Monkton said: “We’re proud of the product advances we’ve made in the past year and look forward to sharing them at the industry’s premier event. We’ve listened to our valued clients and designed a ride that fits everybody’s needs.

In addition to the new concepts, Simworx will also be promoting its entire range of dynamic media-based attractions, which includes its Immersive Tunnel, Stargazer and Flying Theatre attractions.

“Our team are eager to reconnect with our customers, suppliers, industry peers and media and theme park design partners during the show and hopefully gain some prospective new clients,” Monkton added.
