Nominations are now open for the 2025 edition of the UK Theme Park Awards, with the general public invited to put forward their favourite parks and attractions across 22 categories — including several new additions across a number of areas.

Organised annually to celebrate excellence across the UK’s theme park industry, the awards invite fans and industry professionals alike to have their say. Submissions for nominations are now open and can be made online until June 10th, ahead of a public vote set to take place later this year.

Opened last week, nominations for the awards already total more than 14,000 - indicating a strong early response mirroring the record-breaking engagement seen during the 2024 edition of the awards, when over 360,000 votes were cast. That campaign saw Thorpe Park named Theme Park of the Year following the launch of Hyperia, the UK’s tallest and fastest rollercoaster. The Mack Rides creation also picked up the title of Best New Attraction, with its 168ft (51.2m) loop - the tallest in Europe - and a world-first outer-banked airtime hill contributing to its success.

As with previous years, separate awards will be presented to large and small parks in several categories, offering a broader platform to recognise excellence across a diverse range of operators.

New categories for 2025 include, Best Use of IP in an Attraction, Best Queue Line Experience or Pre-Show, and Best Integration of Technology in a Guest Experience.

Following the nomination period, shortlists will be compiled with support from a panel of industry experts, before public voting determines the final winners.

The UK Theme Park Awards continue to grow in profile, offering the opportunity for operators of all sizes to celebrate achievements and connect with passionate visitors.

Planet Attractions will again be involved in this year’s awards as part of the judging panel.
