Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has announced that it has completed track installation for its upcoming Phoenix Rising coaster.
A B&M coaster, Phoenix Rising is scheduled to open to the public in the spring, with the new addition seeing the park reach a landmark of 10 rollercoasters on-site.
Coming to the Pantopia area of the park, Phoenix Rising is a family-friendly option that sees riders “soaring above the Serengeti Plain before going on an exploratory journey over the Pantopia region”.
Posting on X (formerly Twitter), the park announced that the track installation was now 100% complete, sharing a timelapse video of the track being installed.
As well as helping the park reach double figures for its coasters, the suspended model will be the first in the park to feature on-board audio, with a special soundtrack integrated into the overall ride experience.
Reaching a maximum speed of 44mph (70.8kmph), the track covers 1,831ft (558.1m) and is a Family Inverted Coaster model, though the ride itself will feature no full inversions.
With a ride height of 42 inches (1.06m), the coaster will be able to accommodate young thrillseekers wanting to try a more advanced coaster experience.
