London’s Natural History Museum (NHM) has teamed up with toy manufacturer Hasbro to launch a new Peppa Pig-themed visitor experience at the museum.
Called the Peppa Pig Discovery Playroom, the experience is housed inside one of the UK museum’s main retail spaces, off of Hintze Hall, and runs until September 10.
Designed to teach young visitors about nature through the lens of Peppa Pig, the Discovery Playroom offers scheduled character meet and greets, storytime sessions with performer Lucy Walters and interactive Peppa Pig-themed activities.
It also features a craft zone where guests can complete activity and colouring sheets and even draw their own dinosaurs. A relaxation area where guests can watch their favourite Peppa Pig episodes is also on offer.
In addition, visitors can learn about dinosaurs and discover why they’re Peppa’s little brother George’s favourite animals.
The experience is completed by a Peppa Pig-themed retail space offering Peppa Pig storybooks, wooden toys, clothing and at-home activities such as ‘easy-to-grow’ seeds.
“As a brand that embraces building confidence and inspiring curiosity in little ones, Peppa Pig’s Discovery Playroom is a fantastic opportunity for children to explore nature through the eyes of Peppa Pig,” said Sara Westby, Hasbro’s UKI marketing director.
NHM retail commercial manager Sam Barnes added: “The museum is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of advocates for the planet, so this Discovery Playroom is the perfect place for young minds to learn all about their favourite character’s love for the world of nature in a way that is fun for all the family.”
