Pamela Landwirth has headed up Give Kids The World since 1995
Give Kids The World - the nonprofit resort dedicated to providing dream vacations for critically ill children and their families - has announced that Pamela Landwirth, the organisation’s long-serving president and CEO, will be stepping down.
Landwirth, who is a member of the IAAPA Hall of Fame, succeeded her husband, founder Henri Landwirth, in 1995 and has since played an instrumental role in advancing the mission of the charity.
Under her visionary leadership, GKTW has more than doubled in size, now serving over 7,600 families annually. This month, the charity is set to mark a remarkable milestone with the welcoming of its 200,000th family since GKTW Village's inception.
“Words cannot fully express our gratitude to Pamela for her leadership over these past 30 years,” said John Nichols, chairman of GKTW.
“Pamela has made an indelible impact on the Village as she carried Henri’s vision forward. She is cherished by all GKTW serves, having committed her life’s work to ensuring GKTW remains a beacon of hope for critically ill children and their families worldwide. Our goal is to continue building on this tremendous legacy as we welcome new executive leadership to the Village.”
Jordan Lomas has been appointed interim CEO of GKTW, stepping into the role to guide the organisation through this transitional period. Lomas, who most recently served as Senior Vice President of Information Technology at Darden Restaurants, has been a member of the GKTW Board since 2024.
“With his diverse experience and commitment to community service, Jordan is the ideal leader for this interim role,” said Nichols. “To truly advance Henri’s vision and Pamela’s outstanding work, Jordan’s leadership will be instrumental in the executive search process.
“Our succession plan is designed to not only maintain the continuity of the Village’s operations, but to also identify an individual who will exceed expectations in service to our most important stakeholders - the children and families who rely on GKTW for a sense of hope and to experience the joy of a dream vacation together.”
Founded in 1986, Give Kids The World Village is an 89-acre resort located in Kissimmee, Florida, featuring 166 private, storybook villas, four accessible rides, and various other attractions. In a typical year, volunteers contribute more than 1,800 hours of service each week, continuing the charity’s mission to provide a lasting and joyful experience for families facing life-threatening illnesses.
