An upcoming theme park development in Poland is looking to provide competition to the likes of Energylandia, with the expansive Hossoland set to open close to the Baltic coast in the middle of next year.

Scheduled to open in June 2025, the 400,000sq m (4.3 million sq ft) theme park in Kiełpino was originally scheduled to open in the spring of this year, however, delays have seen the date pushed back.

"Hossoland will be the only amusement park of such a large scale on the Polish coast,” said Karen Hovsepyan, vice president of the Hosso Group, which will operate the park.

“Moreover, being the closest destination of this kind for the residents of Berlin - it will certainly become a recognisable symbol and a frequently visited place in this region.”

Hossoland will be split into four themed areas, including Mermaid City, the Kingdom of Baltambrya, the Land of the Vikings and the Dragon Valley of the Mines.

Across the park, more than 50 attractions will be on offer including GhostRider - a multi-million euro steel coaster that will reach speeds of up to 117kmph (72.7mph) and a maximum height of 53.5m (176ft) over 893m (2,930ft) of track.

Companies involved in the project include Jora Vision, Mack NeXT and WhiteWater, while Consilio Group are the park’s contractors. Ride suppliers include Mack and Vekoma.

Once open, the park will employ more than 300 people, with operations expected to have a significant impact on the economy of the West Pomeranian region. Hoss Group has also revealed plans to build a waterpark, while plans are also in the works to expand the park further once open with additional themed lands.

In addition to its theme park plans, Hosso Group is an owner, investor and manager of commercial real estate such as shopping malls, retail parks and office buildings.
