A new snow park has opened in Oman, with the attraction being the largest of its kind in the entire MENA region.
Called Snow Oman, Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment is behind the attraction, which covers 14,830sq m (160,000sq ft) and is the first and only indoor snow destination in the Sultanate. It features more than 20 individual family attractions, including an ice rink and a penguinarium.
“Entertainment plays an important role in the growth of the local economies, and the opening of Snow Oman marks another major milestone in our investment strategy in the Sultanate, as well as demonstrating our ongoing commitment to deliver innovative experiences for guests across the region”, said Ignace Lahoud, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment.
“Entertainment not only impacts the local economy but provides us with a much-needed sense of community, and Snow Oman delivers a unique and immersive way for families to spend quality time together.”
The opening was celebrated with an opening ceremony with a range of entertainment including an ice skating display.
