Bowling operator Lane7 has announced the opening of its largest operation yet in the UK, with the company also announcing plans to move into the British capital by the end of the year and to open its first overseas operation in 2024.
The new 30,000sq m (323,000sq ft) venue inside the Bullring shopping centre in Birmingham, represents the operator’s 12th venue, with the latest attraction featuring 14 lanes, as well as dart boards, beer pong, floor shuffle and karaoke booths. The site also offers two mini curling rinks and 35 retro arcade gaming machines.
Lane7 has also announced plans to open its next venue - its first in the British capital - with a new venue coming to Victoria in London in December.
“We’ve created and curated a new fanbase of baller fans who also love the additional and unique attractions we bring to each new site,” said Tim Wilks, owner and founder of Lane7.
“The plans for London are perfect for its setting in the heart of Victoria, including a new adult-only gaming attraction.”
The London site will be followed by the group’s first overseas operation - with a Lane7 attraction making its way to Dublin, Ireland in 2024.
“It’s going to be a huge year for the business,” said Wilks. “Our growth plans in the next 12 months affirm our commitment to providing top tier entertainment in vibrant, urban settings.”
The operator now has Lane7 operations in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Sheffield, Manchester, Birmingham (The Cube), Birmingham (The Bullring), Liverpool, Bath, Bristol, Durham, Leicester and Newcastle. It also has award-winning Level X venues in Glasgow and Middlesbrough and Gutterball in North Tyneside.
