A new attraction based on The Smurfs is making its way to locations across the US in 2024, with a brand new experience set to create a one-of-a-kind interaction with the iconic blue characters through the use of special technologies.
Called ‘Smurfs - The Adventure’, the attraction will utilise the XSpace platform from Smart Entertainment to combine immersive video projection and ‘phygital’ systems that control sound, light, video, and personalised interaction into one single experience.
Using this technology, within Smurfs - The Adventure, guests will be able to explore the Smurfs' Village and physically interact with their favourite Smurfs without headsets, goggles, or other devices.
Las Vegas-based SEE Touring Exhibitions is behind the attraction, and has previously worked on attractions such as Star Trek The Tour, Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel The Exhibition and Louvre Fantastique.
“We're always looking for new ways to push the boundaries of interactive entertainment,” said Martin Biallas, president of SEE Touring Exhibitions. “This partnership is the perfect opportunity to do just that.”
Smurfs - The Adventure will open in 2024, touring locations across the US. A movie based on The Smurfs is scheduled for release in 2025.
