A new immersive experience showcasing the work of French impressionist painter Claude Monet is to open in London, UK.

Called Monet: The Immersive Experience, the visitor attraction is described as a “mesmerising multisensory journey” and combines 360-degree 4K digital projections with virtual reality (VR) and an atmospheric soundscape.

Housed inside The Boiler House on Brick Lane, the experience promises to immerse guests in Monet’s work like “never before”. It features a 3,500sq ft (325sq m) immersive gallery and a VR experience that takes visitors inside the paintings, as well as recreations of Monet’s atelier and his gardens in the Giverny commune in France.

The experience is a result of a partnership between experience development firm Exhibition Hub, the team behind Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, and live-entertainment discovery platform Fever.

“After such an overwhelmingly positive response to our Van Gogh, Klimt and Dali exhibits, we knew we had to bring Monet: The Immersive Experience to London,” said Mario Iocampo, CEO and creative director of Exhibition Hub.

“We can’t wait for visitors to experience Monet’s incredible works in 360-degree digital surround accompanied by a soaring orchestral score.”

The exhibition will open to the public at the end of September. Tickets are on sale now and start from £8 (US$10, €9) with an additional fee for the VR experience.
