IAAPA is celebrating its return to Thailand for the first time in 17 years, with the association bringing its premier event of the region - IAAPA Expo Asia - to Bangkok.
With 4,623 attendees representing 2,480 companies, 352 exhibitors filled the trade show floor as they presented products and services to 3,187 qualified buyers.
“IAAPA Expo Asia 2024 delivered a solid and respectable show,” said Jakob Wahl, president and CEO of IAAPA.
“We are pleased to see our community come together in person to exchange ideas and showcase the future of the attractions industry.”
The show also featured a range of education sessions, covering topics such as animal interaction trends, water park roundtables, and crafting unforgettable guest services in theme parks. Speakers included the likes of Anthony Blitch, director of park operations at Hong Kong Disneyland, and Natalie Chan, director of LBE for Hasbro.
“Bangkok served as a fantastic host city, providing a fitting backdrop for this event,” said Jack Chan, executive director, and vice president for IAAPA Asia and Pacific.
“The support of our members, partners, and exhibitors has been essential to the success of IAAPA Expo Asia 2024, and we appreciate their dedication to our industry.”
Next year’s IAAPA Expo Asia will take place in Shanghai, China. According to IAAPA so far 168 companies have contracted for 4,986sq m (53,600sq ft) of exhibit space. The event will run from July 1-3 2025.
