At this year’s IAAPA Expo Europe, Simworx will be promoting several turnkey ride concepts, alongside its extensive portfolio of dynamic media-based attractions.
The first concept, called Zombie Metro Mayhem, is designed to showcase the storytelling capabilities of Simworx’s Metro Mover attraction and takes riders on a frightening and suspenseful journey through a post-apocalyptic cityscape overrun by zombies.
The company will also be promoting its Overdrive attraction. Debuted at the 2022 IAAPA Expo Europe in London, UK, Overdrive delivers an adrenaline-fuelled car chase, with riders roleplaying as cops as robbers as they speed through a city.
Developed in partnership with themed entertainment designer Katapult, Overdrive utilises Simworx’ Automated Guidance Vehicle’s (AGV) attraction trackless guidance system and interactive effects to create an immersive experience.

In addition, the company will open its first Pegasus Flying Theatre attraction in November, ahead of the 2023 edition of the IAAPA Expo, in Orlando, Florida, US.
Launched at last year’s IAAPA Expo – where it was nominated for a prestigious Brass Ring Award in the ‘Best New Product Concept, Major Ride or Water Park Ride’ category – the Pegasus Flying Theatre is a scaleable attraction that offers a thrilling and immersive guest experience for venues of all sizes and capacities.
“Pegasus’ core aim, and where its greatest innovation lies, is in its scalability and affordability,” Simworx CEO Terry Monkton told Planet Attractions.

Simworx business development director Ralf Schipper added: “Our Pegasus Flying Theatre has been a big hit since its launch last year with orders secured and interest from a wide range of customers, so we will continue to increase awareness of it again during this year’s show.
“We’ve been busy identifying new potential in our product range and working on solutions and story concepts to suit every client.
“Our team are eager to reconnect with our customers, suppliers, industry peers and media and theme park design partners during the show and hopefully gain some prospective new clients.”
