IAAPA Expo Asia has made its long awaited return to the attractions industry calendar, with the organisation hosting a spectacular kick off ceremony to mark the opening of this year’s event in Singapore.

Taking place at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, the event returns for the first time in-person since 2019.

According to IAAPA, following a challenging period of global uncertainty, the event’s return represents a symbolic milestone for the attractions industry, signifying its comeback and renewed commitment to delivering unparalleled entertainment experiences to visitors worldwide.

Celebrating the return, IAAPA’s senior leadership and industry leaders took part in the Opening Ceremony before welcoming attendees to the sold out trade show floor.

“As the attractions industry emerges from a period of unprecedented challenges, IAAPA Expo Asia 2023 provides a vital platform for industry professionals to come together, share knowledge, and drive innovation," said June Ko, executive director and vice president of IAAPA Asia Pacific.

“We’re thrilled to be in Singapore, a city that embodies the spirit of progress and has played a pivotal role in the development of the attractions sector.”

This year’s show floor features more than 7,000sq m (75,300sq ft) of booths, with 287 exhibitors showcasing their latest products and services.

In addition to the trade show, educational opportunities offer a comprehensive lineup of sessions covering a wide range of topics such as industry trends, guest experience, operations, and sustainability.

“We know attendees for this week’s event will leave feeling rejuvenated for the work they do and the impact it has on our guests and visitors from around the world,” said Jakob Wahl, IAAPA president and chief executive officer.

“IAAPA Expo Asia 2023 will set a tone of inspiration and growth for industry leaders for the rest of the year and into 2024.”
