IAAPA Expo 2023: Attractions.io to launch innovative mapping technology as stand-alone offering

Among its offerings at this year’s IAAPA Expo, leading guest experience platform Attractions.io is set to launch its MapLayr mapping engine and wayfinding solution as a stand-alone software development kit with the product set to go on show at the annual attractions spectacular

Guest experience platform Attractions.io has revealed its full showcase for this year’s IAAPA Expo, with the company’s innovative MapLayr to be launched for the first time as a stand-alone product.

Designed and built as Attractions.io’s own mapping engine and wayfinding solution, MapLayr represents one of the most advanced mapping solutions for location-based businesses on the market today.

The mapping features have been a driving force behind the Attractions.io platform, which is constantly evolving with new additions and investments into new technology. In 2022, Attractions.io added rotatable and tiltable map functionality, while a recent addition in 2023 has seen the launch of a new night mode with a dynamic lighting feature.

According to Attractions.io the company has “recognised the immense potential to enhance customer native mobile app experiences” and so is announcing that its map functionality, as well as being contral to the Attractions.io platform, will also be available as a stand-alone software development kit (SDK).

“Offering multi-level, one-way and accessible routes, the new MapLayr SDK delivers enterprise-grade mapping technology and wayfinding without the time and complexity associated with developing map capabilities in-house,” said the company. “All you need is an API key to get started.”

In addition to MapLayr, Attractions.io’s experience experts will be on-hand at the show to showcase the core platform, including the native guest-facing mobile apps and operator console.

At the show, visitors to the Attractions.io booth will be able to explore an interactive park to discover how mobile technology reduces friction and unlocks the full potential of every visit. They will also look at gathering consensual visitor data in order to enhance both decision-making and guest experiences. Finally they will be able to build a plan for a unified technology experience benefiting both operators and visitors.
