The UK Theme Park Awards will be hosted by Wicksteed Park for the 2025 edition, with presenters Naomi Wilkinson and Dave Payne set to host the highly anticipated event.

Taking place on September 18, the UK Theme Park Awards recognise industry excellence across 22 categories, including ‘Theme Park of the Year’, ‘Best Value’ and ‘Best Customer Service.’

This year, the event comes to Wicksteed Park for the first time, after outings at Thorpe Park (2024), Chessington World of Adventures (2023) and Drayton Manor (2022). Opened in 1921, Wicksteed is the UK mainland’s oldest continually operating theme park, with the attraction offering more than 25 rides, as well as gardens, walking trails, a nature reserve and a pavilion.

A new duo will host this year’s awards, with TV presenter Naomi Wilkinson and renowned presenter and master of awards ceremonies Dave Payne set to take the reins in 2025.

“I can’t wait to host the UK Theme Park Awards,” said Wilkinson. “I’m anticipating the atmosphere amongst award nominees will be as adrenaline-fuelled as their rides!”

Dave Payne added: "I'm thrilled to host the UK Theme Park Awards. From childhood memories of riding The Ultimate at Lightwater Valley to chasing thrills at Alton Towers, Chessington, and countless other incredible parks – nothing beats the excitement of a theme park!”

This year, TAG Live will produce the award ceremony and run the event’s official livestream. The awards are presented in association with AttractionTickets.com. This year’s judging panel comprises nine industry experts, including Planet Attractions’ own Lauren Heath-Jones.
