Maurer Rides will be showing off a number of innovations including its Spike Giant-8-Loop at this year’s IAAPA Expo Europe, with the new attraction offering guests the chance to “ride the impossible” with a design “coaster designers have been dreaming about for decades”.
Featuring Spike ASM technology, the rollercoaster offers a “wow factor” to parks with its distinct design, centred by a figure of eight design.
Reaching a maximum height of 30m (98ft) and a top speed of 60kmph (37.3mph) the relatively small 325m (1066ft) single rail track has been designed to be affordable for smaller parks.
“In addition to the standing figure eight-element, it offers a bunch of other exciting ride figures to complete the ride experience and make it a true big coaster for any park,” said Maurer.
“Thanks to the latest technology and innovative design, you glide through fascinating loops and twists that give you the feeling of unlimited freedom.”
Returning to RAI Amsterdam in the Netherlands from September 23-27, IAAPA Expo Europe will welcome attractions professionals from across the world as they explore the event’s vast 18,500sq m (199,000sq ft) tradeshow floor.
