George Walker named as VP of creative development at Holovis

Walker joins the company with more than 20 years experience, having held senior creative roles at Universal Creative and Dynamic Attractions

George Walker served as creative director for Ferrari World Abu Dhabi

Industry veteran George Walker has joined immersive experiential design firm Holovis as vice president of creative development.

Walker, who describes himself as a ‘story builder’, joins the company with more than 20 years experience in the attractions industry having held senior creative roles with several high-profile companies including Universal Creative and Dynamic Attractions and masterminded attractions such as Flying Aces and Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.

Working out of the Orlando office, Walker will be responsible for leading and expanding the company’s creative services, engaging with clients all over the world and working alongside its existing team of designers and architects to create next-generation attractions and interactive in-park experiences.

A long time collaborator of Holovis, Walker has previously credited the company with “bringing all things magic” to the attractions.

Commenting on his appointment, he said: “Holovis has always managed to innovate and problem solve. I have been constantly impressed with their ability to get things done and push the limits, whilst always championing the guest experience and the client’s master plan in a way that is truly rare to see in our industry. I see this as the perfect opportunity to build on that momentum together and take Holovis to a whole new level.”

Holovis CEO Stuart Hetherington said: “We can’t wait to apply George’s creative mind and visionary ideas into current and future projects.”

“We’re known for merging the best of technology with immersive storytelling, which is exactly what George excels at.”
