The SeaWorld Orlando resort in Florida, US, has revealed the opening date for its upcoming Expedition Odyssey attraction.
The family-friendly attraction will open on May 1, 2025, with pass holders able to access the ride from April 26.
Expedition Odyssey has been described by SeaWorld Orlando park president Jon Peterson as an “adventure unlike anything our guests have experienced before.”
It will take riders on a thrilling exploration of the Arctic Ocean, through the combination of dynamic motion, state-of-the art visuals and custom-shot, real-world footage of polar bears, beluga whales, orcas, walruses, seals and other Arctic wildlife.
Cutting-edge ride vehicles will offer an unparalleled range of motion, designed so that guests feel as if they are soaring, diving, twisting and gliding with the ocean current as they explore tundra, dodge icebergs, race pods of beluga whales and dive into the depths.
The attraction will culminate with real-life animal encounters, where guests will come face to face with Arctic wildlife including Uki, an orphaned Pacific walrus calf rescued in Alaska, who will make her SeaWorld Orlando debut in her new habitat at Expedition Odyssey.
“The newest addition to our park is unlike anything we have ever done before and brings to life the wonder of the Arctic in a way that only SeaWorld can do,” Peterson said.
