At this year’s IAAPA Expo, Dronisos is spotlighting its ongoing partnership with Disneyland Paris.

A leader in drone entertainment, Dronisos has been working with Disneyland Paris since 2018, implementing drone technology in the park’s indoor shows, creating drone displays for both permanent and temporary nighttime spectacles and providing creative and technical support.

In 2022, the company was named an official technology partner of Disneyland Paris, following the success of ‘Disney DLight.’

Created to celebrate the park’s thirtieth anniversary, Disney DLight was a daily nighttime show that was performed almost 500 times. It was originally scheduled to close in August 2022, but was extended for more than a year and won Best Live Show in the 2022 Park World Excellence Awards, before closing in September 2023.

Supported by Dronisos technology, Disney DLight featured a fleet of drones, which formed a glittering number 30, which doubled as Mickey Mouse’s iconic silhouette, above the Sleeping Beauty castle.

The partnership also saw the creation of ‘Avengers: Power the Night’ - a nighttime show dedicated to Marvel superheroes. The show, which opened in 2023, combines 500 choreographed drones with pyrotechnics and video projections and has been described as “an epic experience worthy of super hero adventures.”

In January 2024, Dronisos collaborated with Disneyland Paris on the Disney Electrical Sky Parade - performance with 500 synchronised drones, video projections, fountains, lighting effects and illuminated floats.

Most recently, Disneyland Paris and Dronisos set a world record for the largest aerial image of a fictional character created by drones after 1,571 drones, flying in synchronisation, were used to create a spectacular tricoloured Mickey Mouse head in the sky above the Sleeping Beauty Castle.

“Dronisos and Disneyland Paris continue to position themselves as innovators, regularly captivating audiences with spectacular performances that generate ever growing excitement,” said a Dronisos spokesperson.

“The IAAPA Expo provides a valuable opportunity for industry leaders to explore tomorrow’s innovations and address current challenges, such as intensifying competition and the need for increasingly diverse and innovative experiences, all while considering environmental concerns.

“The alliance between Dronisos and Disneyland Paris perfectly embodies this dynamic, demonstrating an ability to continually elevate entertainment, exceed guest expectations and deliver ever more magical and unique experiences.”
