Work is underway at Disney's Animal Kingdom as Dinoland USA, in operation since 1998, is being transformed into a "Tropical Americas-themed" land.
Announced last August, the new 11-acre area will feature two major attractions: one inspired by Encanto, where guests will embark on an immersive journey beyond the film's story, and another based on the Indiana Jones franchise, repurposing the existing Dinosaur ride with a new storyline. The transformation began with the closure of Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama in January, marking the start of construction.
The new land, which will also introduce Pueblo Esperanza and a vibrant mix of culture, food, and attractions, is expected to debut in 2027.
