US-based restaurant and entertainment company Dave & Buster’s is set to debut in the Middle East, with 11 new franchise locations expected to open in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Egypt over the next five years.
The first locations are expected to open in Saudi Arabia over the coming years, with venues to follow in the UAE and Egypt.
The expansion is a result of the company’s first multi-country, multi-unit deal with Abdul Mohsen Al Hokair Holding Group (AMAHHG).
“We couldn’t be more pleased and excited to announce our partnership with AMAHHG to develop the Dave & buster’s brand across key west Asian markets,” said Antonio Bautista, chief international development officer at Dave & Buster’s.
Mishal Alhokair, deputy CEO of AMAHHG, added: “Dave & Buster’s is a preeminent entertainment brand, and this franchise partnership marks a strategic milestone for our organisation as we continue to expanding our entertainment and hospitality portfolio across the region.”
The news was announced during a press conference at this year’s IAAPA Expo Europe, which is currently underway at London’s ExCel centre.
